‘Find the Time’ was a 3-month destination marketing campaign designed to drive overnight stays in East Suffolk during winter.
Building a destination brand
Our role was to create a compelling campaign identity, develop a visually engaging website, and design all campaign assets, from digital and print to out-of-home (OOH) advertising.
The challenge was to build a strong visual identity in a short timeframe, ensuring East Suffolk stood out among competing Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) while maintaining a cohesive and compelling look across all media.
The brand identity centred on ‘finding the time’ to explore East Suffolk’s hidden gems. The visual language used a warm, inviting colour palette inspired by the region’s landscapes, with typography that balanced elegance and approachability.
The campaign creative segmented the day – morning to bedtime – pairing each with curated imagery to highlight relevant experiences. A mix of bespoke photography and user-generated content created an authentic yet aspirational aesthetic.
Combining design with results
The website was designed for seamless navigation, using clean layouts, immersive visuals, and CTAs to guide users effortlessly from inspiration to booking.
Digital and print assets, including social media creatives, banner ads, and brochures, maintained a cohesive design, while OOH placements featured bold typography and striking imagery to capture attention.
The results were striking. Email open rates reached 80%, and the campaign generated 6.7 million impressions across Meta and Google. PR secured placements in The Telegraph and The Sunday Times, and the Visit England Domestic Sentiment Tracker (December 2024) recorded a 3-percentage-point increase in intended overnight trips to East Suffolk.
The campaign not only elevated East Suffolk’s profile but also set a new design benchmark for regional tourism marketing, with one resident summing it up perfectly: “You’ve made it look as beautiful as it really is.”
