A brand built to bring everything together
StepChange was a new programme bringing together a wide range of training and support services under one umbrella brand, supported by four distinct sub-brands. With audiences spanning all ages, locations and stages of life, the challenge was to create a flexible identity that felt coherent and accessible, while working equally well across multiple delivery partners.
Alongside this, ESF funding requirements introduced strict design protocols, meaning creativity had to sit comfortably within defined guidelines. A supporting website and suite of marketing materials were also required to ensure consistent rollout across the programme.
Creative direction with collaboration at its core
Our creative direction centred on a simple, shared idea – StepChange as the first positive step towards employment, skills or training. We developed a clear umbrella brand and four supporting sub-brands that could be used together or independently, allowing partners the freedom they needed without diluting the overall identity.
Working closely with the marketing team and delivery partners, we applied the branding across a website and a growing library of marketing assets. These were tailored to individual needs while protecting brand consistency, ensuring StepChange launched as a clear, confident and collaborative programme across the Humber region.
