Visit Erewash
Designing the Visit Erewash campaign to inspire short trips, local exploration and real connection with nature and history.
The Visit Erewash campaign aimed to promote this rural part of Derbyshire as a go-to destination for day trips among residents in nearby areas of Derby and Nottingham. The campaign required a brand identity, website, and a multi-channel marketing approach, with a strong focus on design to help local people rediscover what was already on their doorstep.
We designed a logo inspired by the area’s natural elements – referencing local water, wildlife, and green spaces – creating a visual identity that felt rooted in place while being welcoming and contemporary. Sub-brands were developed to categorise experiences such as walks, heritage sites and local businesses, helping users navigate the offer easily.
Design played a central role in making the campaign practical as well as inspiring. Each destination page included clear, well-designed information on essential visitor needs – from parking and toilets to accessibility – helping overcome barriers to engagement.
We also designed an interactive map to support intuitive trip planning, showing users how close locations were to one another. This was supported by beautifully presented itineraries, offering ready-made routes for walkers, families and foodies.
The website and branding were brought to life through videography, photography and a clean, accessible design system. Digital ads and social content followed the visual language of the campaign, ensuring cohesion and recognition across platforms.
The results were impressive – a measurable increase in visits, awareness and engagement, with the design-led approach making Erewash not just visible, but inviting.
