The Oculist
Don’t hide your eyes, frame them
This early piece of work set the foundations for our approach to brand strategy, creative direction and thoughtful design, shaping how we continue to help businesses define who they are and how they’re seen.
More than meets the eye
The branding project was commissioned by business owner Gerry Sondh, to design and develop a brand for a new kind of opticians. Already proving popular in London and Manchester, Gerry wanted to bring the concept of a boutique designer eyewear store to Peterborough.
Targeted at more affluent shoppers, The Oculist was to be “an experience, not just an opticians” and the brand, store layout and marketing needed to reflect this.
A clearer vision for the brand
The new brand was applied to business cards, stationery and prescription cards using a metallic ink, while visuals were provided for the store layout.
We developed a more playful visual language for their marketing and advertising. A new website was then designed at a later date.
