This toolkit, including an interative PDF, was distributed to senior decision makers within the leisure sector, giving them the tools required to ‘transform swimming’.
Teaming up with The Smarter Choice Consultancy (TSCC) we were excited to win the tender to work with Sport England on delivering a new creative toolkit and interactive PDF. Sport England know that the leisure sector needs to radically transform swimming and change the way in which people use pools. They had funded five ‘Swim Pilot’ projects to trial new approaches and needed to share the lessons learnt from these with professionals across the sector.
TSCC managed content creation and data analysis for the toolkit and Why Design created the 160 page interactive PDF presentation format – complete with user instructions, navigation and video. The interactive PDF was supported by additional resources, designed as a series of case studies, design checklists and top tips, all of which could be downloaded via the main PDF.
We developed a fun and engaging approach to the design by utilising a combination of photography and infographics. Our layouts were designed to accommodate a large volume of information while also engaging the reader in the new and innovative ways leisure centres had been able to utilise their pools.
The toolkit was distributed to senior decision makers and leaders within the leisure sector, giving them the tools and inspiration they needed to ‘transform swimming’.
